I woke up having a commence. Amelia was shaking me gently.
“Tired, huh?” she stated smiling.
“I guess.” I murmured, rubbing my eyes.
“Dad was supposed to come tonight.” she stated. I froze and sat up.
“Douglas?” I asked in a half-scared whisper. She frowned slightly.
“Emily? I believed you’d be excited to meet your dad soon after all these years..” she exclaimed.
I grit my teeth. “I do not know how he treats you, but he was absolutely nothing like a dad to me. He did not even adore me.” I told her, acting like it did not bother me.
“Yeah, appropriate. He does not enjoy you… that is why he traced you and your mom down somehow, and took so significantly trouble to create positive he does not miss out on you growing up?” she stated sarcastically. I glared at her.
“You do not know Douglas like I do.” I murmured.
“Oh, yes, I know him genuinely properly. I’ve lived with him most of my life. But now, he’s changed, he’s not like how he was just before.” she stated.
I was about to open up, and tell her how he employed to abuse me, but I hardened up rather and stuck my lower jaw out.
“Well, I’ll see if he’s changed or not.” I declared. Amelia looked at me strangely.
“Anyways, I stated he was supposed to come, but he cannot make it for tonight.” she told me.
“Tonight?” I asked her confused.
“Yup, it is time for supper. C’mon, I came to call you.” she told me.
“Wow, i did not know i slept so lengthy.” I stated laughing.
“Yup, I guess I’ll need to get utilized to your lazy butt.” she stated smirking at me.
“HEY!” I exclaimed angrily and got up. She laughed and yelled, “Catch me should you can!”

That was it. I began chasing her out of the room and by means of the hallway. It was difficult, specifically given that i really almost dropped a couple of flower vases. She headed for the stairs and i followed in hot pursuit, until i got a brilliant thought. I climbed on the banister and slid down all of the way. I reached ahead of her, but she was coming down at such a speed, that we each collided into one another.
